I've been dancing ever since the day I could walk. But I started taking dance a little more seriously when I was about 6 years old and the first time I was put in the more advanced group, as a kid, I was determined to keep going no matter what happened.
I was about 7 years old when my family and I moved to Casper, Wyoming from Las Vegas. A year later I got invited to come check out a dance studio up in the Sunrise Shopping Center. Dance Evolutions, INC. I was super excited and nervous at the same time because I didn't know if I was experienced enough or if I would fit in completely. But after the first couple of weeks, I caught up pretty quickly and started to make friends as soon as I joined.
Still being only 16 years old, 10 years later, I've been in many competitions. Winning Over-alls in group dances, duos/trios, even my solos. Winning Senior Miss Spotlight Denver 2013 (which was the highlight of my dance career) and ,currently, Miss Encore Denver 2014 (another great accomplishment!). I've attended conventions and workshops while working with many brilliant choreographers like: Dave Scott, Tyce Diorio, Gregg Russell, Katie Schaar, Judy Rice, Barry Youngblood and many others! Every time I go to either a convention or competition, it's always the best I could ask for.
I am currently attending Natrona County High School for my Senior Year! I am looking forward to college as much as any senior in high school is. My dream is to go to Pace University in New York City, New York where I'll be majoring in Pre-Law and minoring in dance. A lot, I know but I dream BIG!
Teaching at Dance Evolutions is always fun. I walk in and literally have another family which I'm very happy to see everyday. I wouldn't be where I am right now without dance, it's my passion. I hope you'll be able to see how much it is to you as well:)
